My hometown is in Sichuan , Mianyang, An county, a city only 10 km away from BeiChuan. After three days of earthquake, I got message from my mom and dad, they are fine. Now they still live in the tent and cook on the firewoods.

Beichuan is a small town between mountains. That's why it's so horrible when the deadly earthquake happened. And same with other small mountain towns around. Those are all very beautiful and peaceful places.

The critical factor is the building qualities. All the good buildings stands, only a bit damages.

Hope all the people who study architecture will build quality houses for the world. Not build the best houses for the rich people.
