PERSONS WHO WISH TO RELINQUISH U.S. CITIZENSHIP

If the answer to the question regarding intent to relinquish citizenship is yes , the person concerned will be asked to complete a questionnaire to ascertain his or her intent toward U.S. citizenship. When the questionnaire is completed and the voluntary relinquishment statement is signed by the expatriate, the consular officer will proceed to prepare a certificate of loss of nationality. The certificate will be forwarded to the Department of State for consideration and, if appropriate, approval.

An individual who has per????ed any of the acts made potentially expatriating by statute who wishes to lose U.S. citizenship may do so by affirming in writing to a U.S. consular officer that the act was per????ed with an intent to relinquish U.S. citizenship. Of course, a person always has the option of seeking to ????ally renounce U.S. citizenship abroad in accordance with Section 349 (a) (5) INA.

You could lose your US citizenship.

This was made very clear by Homeland Security officers when I got my USA citizenship. When you get your US citizenship, you lose your other citizenship by default. If you ever try to travel out of US using passport issued by other country, you could lose your citizenship when you come back to USA.

As for 乡签证难, that's not true for most Chinese American. I just got my visa last week and all I gave to them was a print out of my airline ticket, and filled out the application ????.

If you have not had any vias before, they may want you to give other supporting documents. If you had one before, airline ticket is good enough.
